POCKET PERFUMES

I recently got my hands on three pocket perfumes from the Perfume Box and as soon as I got home, I moved aside my Juicy Couture and Dior and popped one straight into my handbag. I am so thrilled I did so, as I have been reaching for them ever since!

I have not only fallen in love with the luxurious scents, but am ecstatic about the packaging too!
With the packaging being plastic, so slim and small it makes it so convenient when wanting to travel light (which a lot of you know is one of my favourite things to do). I love how you don't have to worry about it breaking or the liquid weight, as it's only 20ml's per bottle. I have also found that it's the perfect size for popping into your clutch, or handbag for a night out on the town.

My current favourites are the Heart Beat and the Daydreamer pocket perfumes, both being sweeter scents and usually lasting me between 7-8 hours. Each 20ml perfume gets you over 300 sprays, so don't let the tiny bottle deceive you! There is also a wide range of scents to choose from, including a range for men too!

If you are travelling any time soon, or in need of a new perfume, I would highly suggest giving these affordable pocket sized perfumes a try!

MORROCONOIL HYDRATING SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER REVIEW

One of my favourite things to splurge on is the Morroconoil Treatment Oil, I have been using the Morroconoil Treatment Oil for over four years now, and it has become a go to product. I use it as an over night treatment or I apply it onto wet hair before heat styling, the results are amazing and from seeing the difference after just one use I was super impressed. So when I got to try out the shampoo and conditioner from the Morroconoil Hydrating range I was super excited to see the outcome.

I have been using the Hydrating range for quite a few months now and can definitely see a difference, my hair is a lot more manageable, less frizzy and it looks a lot more hydrated whether I leave it to air dry or heat style it.

The Shampoo and Conditioner are both Sulphate, Phosphate and Paraben free making them great for normal or colour treated hair, and both are rich in argan oil, vitamin A/E and red algae.

The shampoo is a more milky like consistency and you only need the size of a R2 coin per wash, thus making the price per bottle all more worth while.  It was only after two consecutive washes with the shampoo that it began to foam and once I rinsed the shampoo out of my hair, my hair felt clean, slightly heavy (I'm assuming this is from the argan oil), as well as hard to the touch. But don't let this put you off, the non-foaming and hardness are normal and are expected from sulphate free shampoos and once you apply the conditioner onto your hair it will feel soft again.

In all honesty it was definitely the conditioner that got me hooked out of the two and I will most likely be purchasing it again. It really is hydrating and moisturising and you only need a tiny amount due to its concentrated and thick consistency. My hair felt nourished, soft and smooth instantly after applying the conditioner.

It's definitely a great range for anyone that is in need of moisture. However, I would highly recommend swopping in-between the ranges, like a lighter shampoo such as the Volume or Restore Shampoo with a heavier conditioner such as the Hydration Conditioner to get the best results and not to weigh down your hair.

The packaging is simple and easy to use and the lock cap make it great for travelling, most salons also offer the mini travel size bottles which are also great if you want to test out which range will suit your hair best before purchasing the bigger bottles.

If you've tried the Morrocanoil Hydrating or Restoring Mask please leave your comments below as I would love to know what your thoughts are before going ahead and purchasing a big tub.

Lush Lush Baby

I love finding beauty products that are made up of natural ingredients, I always find myself wanting to smother my whole body from head to toe in them! That’s why when I got to try the Lush Veganese Conditioner I nearly flipped over backwards!

At first when opening the bottle I couldn’t smell anything at all and thought it was one of the those boring ‘organic’ scentless conditioners, until I lathered a rather generous amount onto my hair and that’s when I then found myself in a breeze of freshly cut lemons, and trust me that is the scent you get every time you swish your hair thereafter!

The Lush Veganese Conditioner is filled with natural ingredients such as;
-Seaweed to soften and hydrate your locks
-Hints of lavender and rosemary to help nourish and hydrate your scalp
-Lemon oil to give your hair that shine and lemon breeze scent, (and which I actually found lightened my hair colour after a few washes)

My hair is currently long, and tends to be more on the dry side of life, so usually whenever I purchase a conditioner I always opt for the most intense and rich one I can find, however I find those can leave me with that ‘heavy’ feeling. This definitely isn’t the case with the Lush Veganese Conditioner, without lanolin or any heavy oils it has a thin consistency which means if you have long hair or a head full like me, you will need to use quite a lot with each wash to get the results you are looking for, but it’s honestly impressive on how luscious, lightweight, shiny and voluminous your hair looks and feels afterwards!

I'd definitely recommend this conditioner to anyone looking for a lightweight conditioner for shiny, soft and great smelling hair!

Mini L'Oreal Paris Skincare Review

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Glow Scrub

The L'Oreal Paris Pure Glow Scrub is so easy to use, you simply apply just over an almond size to wet skin and using circular motions cleanse your face and neck area.

The scrub does have quite a strong scent to it, (to me it smells like guavas and I don’t like guavas that much), however the smell doesn’t linger once removed and the results are totally worth it. When it comes to the texture it is definitely more of a liquid clay, so don’t expect some swishing foamy face wash.

If you were wondering what makes this scrub so special, well the L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Glow Scrub contains tiny little beads for a mild exfoliation, red algae and 3 pure clays (Kaolin, Ghassoul, Montmorollonite) to help illuminate and purify your skin.

After my first cleanse my skin felt smooth, my pores looked tighter and it removed all impurities including blackheads! It took me quite a few washes before I experienced the healthy glow though, as for the first few washes my skin had a matte finish right after.

Have any of you tried the L'Oreal Paris Clay Masks in this range?

L'Oreal Paris Triple Active 24H Hydration Moisturizer

Beauty lovelies I am honestly shocked at how amazing this product works and I’m so glad I found it this winter!

I have been using this moisturizer both day and night this past week and my skin already feels super nourished and hydrated. It also feels a lot softer, looks healthier and gives off a soft glow.

The L'Oreal Paris 24 Hour Hydration Moisturizer has three main purposes;
-To protect your skin through UV Filters
-To fight and block free radicals with vitamin E, (which means you can reduce wrinkles and keep your skin looking youthful)
-As well as illuminate, replenish and plump the skin with Ceramides

The texture is like a thick waxy cream, however it absorbs and acts like a fluid, while the scent is quite fresh and smells like Ylang Ylang flowers. The packaging is clean and simple, the glass does makes it quite tricky for lightweight travelers though. But it’s a great face cream for winter or for anyone who is looking for a hydrating and nourishing moisturizer in their’ twenties.

My 5 Favourite Fluids To Flawless Skin

Sometimes we spend crazy amounts of money trying to find good skincare products to help slow down our skin’s ageing process, or give us that perfect flawless complexion! I am a strong believer of what you put in is what you get out and that a healthy skin is a reflection of a healthy body, therefore below you will find my five favourite healthy fluids to maintaining a healthy complexion and reducing the signs of ageing.

·      H20
Yes, I know you hear this all the time, BUT, water is vital to flushing out toxins, ensuring all your organs function properly and helping hydrate your skin, therefore giving you a clearer complexion.

P.s the water you consume is first sent to the most vital organs of your body leaving your skin for last, and with your skin being the largest organ of your body it will be the first to show you signs of dehydration. So make sure you drink enough water to hydrate your skin too!

·      Coconut Water
The next best thing to water, it’s loaded with potassium and cytokines which help regenerate and repair your skin faster. It can be consumed or even applied directly onto your skin to add moisture and hydrate dry skin.

·      Carrot Juice
Carrot juice is filled with vitamin A, Vitamin C, carotenoids, antibacterial and anti-fungal  nutrients which make it perfect for people with acne prone skin. It can even help tone, hydrate and revitalize dry skin too. Drinking a glass of fresh carrot juice daily is a great source of food for your skin!

·      Oolong Tea
Oolong tea is full of health benefits. One of it’s main benefits is that it is full of antioxidants called polyphenols which destroy the free radicals in our bodies, which basically means it slows down our skin’s age-ing process.

·      Green Tea
Green tea flushes out toxins and helps heal blemishes which is great for improving your skin’s complexion. It also contains catechins which help reduce redness and inflammation. The antioxidants and tannins help reduce puffy eyes,  and slow your skins ageing process, while the vitamin K is great for helping lighten the dark circles under your eyes.
